Data portals use the name of a database stored procedure, by default. Other options will be available in the future.

Api Relative Url

This setting depends on the 'Connection Type' of this Data Portal's Data Connection. If it connects to a database directly, then this setting is ignored.
If it connects to a web API, then this setting indicates the rest of the Url needed. (eg. '/api/data') The root of the URL is kept in the Data Connection. The web server at that url should handle this DataPortal.

Helper Default Columns

Helper Default Columns are used by the "Report Builder" feature of Interject to build a sample report based on the settings of this Data Portal. Use the Helper Default Columns to decide which columns and which order to use in the Report Builder. If blank, the sample report will use all columns.

Disabled Note When a Data Portal is disabled, you can enter a custom message that will be shown to users if the Data Portal is executed.

Is Custom Command? You can designate a Data Portal to run background jobs. These are called Custom Commands.

These Data Portals are not used to populate data in an Excel report, but rather to execute actions on a server. For example, this might run an import or sync process.

Report Builder Section The Report Builder is a tool within Excel to easily create a report based on the settings in this DataPortal

Helper Name : This adds a friendly name for the report parameter input, in the Report Builder. Otherwise the parameter name is used, which has no spaces, for example.

Options : Use a comma separated list to provide the Excel user with a dropdown list of options.

Helper Default : This inserts a default value into the cell of the Excel report when using the Report Builder.

Comments : This inserts an Excel comment, with your text, into the cell of the Excel report when using the Report Builder.

System Parameters

System Parameters are pieces of data which are automatically passed into the Data Portal from the Interject System. Choose from the list of pre-configured system parameter types.

This data normally comes from the context of the user, context of the Excel report environment, or a specific Interject component. (eg. User Login Name, Local TimeZone Offset)

This is different from a customized 'Formula Parameter'.

It is the best practice to update DataPortals, APIs, and Database procedures to use the current System Parameter settings. To update the Data Portal Paremeter itself, delete this parameter, and add the correct replacement parameter from the selection list.
